Swimming Pool

Pool Rules

  1. All swimmers must register before entering the pool.
  2. Children under 10 must be accompanied by a parent or a responsible sitter at all times.
  3. A fee of $3/day is to be paid by members for any local guests (residents of Anderson, Roane, Knox, Morgan and Loudon counties). Local guests are restricted to 5 visits per season.
  4. No outside food is permitted. Food and drink may be purchased from "The Nineteenth Hole" restaurant window. Clothing is required to sit on restaurant's patio. No food or drink is allowed inside the pool area.
  5. Smoking is restricted to designated areas outside the pool area.
  6. Disposable diapers are not allowed in the pool. The baby pool is for ages 5 and under only. An older sibling or sitter may accompany a child in the baby pool area.
  7. All swimmers must wear appropriate swimming attire. Cut-off shorts and denim may not be worn in the pool.
  8. Floatation objects and toys are at the discretion of the lifeguards. An adult must accompany children wearing floaties or floatation swimsuits in the pool.
  9. The lifeguards may restrict play in the pool or pool area.
  10. All pool users shall obey lifeguards at all times. Lifeguards are authorized to enforce all rules necessary for the protection and safety of member, their families and guests in the swimming pool area.
  11. The lifeguard may order uncooperative or inappropriately attired persons to leave the swimming pool.
  12. Running, pushing, wrestling, and dunking are not permitted at any time.
  13. No swimming is allowed outside posted hours or without the presence of Oak Ridge Country Club lifeguards.
  14. All persons using the pool area are urged to cooperate in keeping the area clean by properly disposing of trash and picking up after themselves.
  15. All persons using the pool furniture are required to cover the furniture with a towel with using suntan lotions.

Diving Board Rules

  1. Only one (1) person on the diving board at a time.
  2. Do not advance from the back of the diving board until the person before you has reached the wall.
  3. Swim away from the diving board immediately after jumping/diving so you aren't in the way of the next person on the board.
  4. Do not play on the diving board. Take only 1 bounce.
  5. Do not hang from the diving board or swim under it.
  6. Jump or dive only from the end of the board.
  7. Do not jump off the side of the board.
  8. Only a forward dive is permitted in the deep end.
  9. No gainers allowed.
  10. No diving/jumping through or on any floatation devices.
  11. Lifeguards are authorized to restrict dangerous diving board activities.
