The Women's Golf Association (WGA) at Oak Ridge Country Club (ORCC) is comprised of women who love the competition, exercise, and fellowship that the game of golf provides.
The objectives of the Association are to support ORCC in its many activities and to promote interest and participation in golf activities among the women members of the ORCC. The women who belong to the WGA are divided between two leagues, an 18-hole league that plays on Thursday mornings from April through October and a 9-hole league that plays on Tuesday mornings.
In addition to league play, each league participates in many golf activities with other area clubs, including Guest Days and local tournaments. Members of the WGA who meet USGA handicap guidelines may also choose to join the Knox Area Women's Golf Association (KAWGA) and participate in events with members of the other local private clubs (Beaver Brook, Cherokee, Fox Den, Green Meadow, Holston Hills, Gettysvue, Tellico Village, and Tennessee National). In addition, representatives of the Oak Ridge WGA participate in a yearly Interclub competition with representatives from most of the other local private clubs.
