On the left side of the photo is #13, a short par 4 and a good birdie
opportunity, but watch out for the pond. In addition to many many golf
balls, it's rumored that there are several wedges that also sleep with the
fishes.
- ORCC has a championship golf course. The course was nominated for Golf
Digest's Best New Private Club Course for 1996. The course originally
build in 1947, was redesigned by
Robert Cupp Design, Inc.
in 1995-1996. The ORCC golf course offers 4 sets of tees, allowing a
challenging round of golf to all levels of golfers. The tees are: Red,
5136 yards, 69.4/120; Gold, 5940 yards, 68.7/122; White, 6449 yards,
71.1/127 and Blue 6836 yards, 72.9/131. The fairways are Zoysia grasses
and the roughs are a combination of fescue and blue grass. The greens are
SR1020 bent grass. The new course has 58 sand traps strategically located
that will challenge any golfer. The newly re-designed golf course was
re-opened and dedicated on July 3, 1996. Golf tournaments and other
